The Reinvention Experts Helping You Reinvent for Today's World

I have to say after being an Entrepreneur and Business coach since 2004, I've seen it all.
Something I've been anxious to speak about for some time is the subject of this blog post.
Why so many people spend so much valuable time spinning their wheels.
Here's what I mean, be careful as you read this you may recognize a behavior you do not like:

• You keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results, this is called insanity
• You understand the importance of education but for some reason you continue to skip it hoping you'll figure out things on your own
• You avoid attending conferences because it's too much money...how much money is it costing you in your business and career to not know something
• You spend your money on a book but you never read it
• You spend your money on a conference, program or coach but never take action
• You want success but you're not willing to work for it

You may wonder where this is coming from, to be honest it's been on my mind for years. I've met colleagues in my industry who refuse to invest in any type of education and a year later wonder why they are still in the same place. I also hear from people (in my world, entrepreneurs) that will say I am not wasting my money joining an association. My question is how will you know what to do better if you are not engaged.?Or, I'll hear, I was a member for a year and got nothing out of my investment. My response is what did you do to make the most of your investment? Did you show up, learn, network, implement? No, then you are spinning your wheels.

Your take-aways from this impassioned blog post of mine, if you want something in life you've got to work for it and that involves taking action.

Start with these:

• Not knowing something and being uneducated can cost you a lot of money, opportunities and time
• When you do invest in your business/career, actually implement, even one action a day can make a difference
• If you see someone doing something that you want to do, then ask them how to get started and "just do it"
• Get involved with your industry association and show up consistently to the events and implement what you learn
•  Do quarterly assessments on your progress and change it up for better success

I will wrap this up by saying, after travelling the country during the last six years of my career; I've met so many people with dreams and goals in my audiences. I've also coached more than 300 professionals to date via The National Center for Speaker Training. The individuals that make their dreams come true take action on a daily basis and refuse to SPIN THEIR WHEELS.
